HepBest 25 mg (tenofovir alafenamide, TAF), a once-daily tablet for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults. According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates, more than 2 billion people worldwide are infected with the hepatitis B virus (HBV), of which more than 240 million have chronic liver infection. These patients are at risk of developing serious illness and death, largely resulting from liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. HepBestTM (TAF) is the first drug in eight years to be approved for the management of chronic hepatitis B in India.

TAF demonstrates comparable efficacy with an enhanced renal and bone safety profile as compared to the earlier formulation of tenofovir (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate). TAF also has greater plasma stability, which ensures efficient drug delivery to the site of action.

• Sofosbuvir 400mg tablet is an antiviral drug which is used in combination with other drugs for treatment of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. Compared to previous treatments, sofosbuvir based regimens provide a higher cure rate, fewer side effects, and a two- to four-fold reduced duration of therapy.
• Mechanism of Action- Sofosbuvir contains oral nucleotide analog inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) polymerase. The drug is a direct-acting antiviral agent and interferes straight with the HCV lifecycle, restraining the viral replication. It can be incorporated into HCV RNA by the NS5B polymerase and acts as a chain terminator. The drug is available for oral use in the form of 400mg tablets.

• Daclatasvir is an inhibitor of non-structural protein 5A (NS5A). Each film coated tablet contains Daclatasvir Dihydrochloride equivalent to Daclatasvir 60 mg. Daclatasvir is white to yellow colour solid and freely soluble in water. Daclatasvir is prescribed for the treatment of patients with chronic HCV genotype 3 infections along with Sofosbuvir 400mg tablets. Daclatasvir has revolutionized the management of HEPATITIS C by offering Ribavirin and Peg-interferon free treatment for all the genotypes of Hepatitis C.
  
  
• Daclatasvir is an inhibitor of HCV non-structural protein 5A (NS5A) therefore it binds to the N-terminus of NS5A and inhibits both viral RNA replication and virion assembly. An advantage of Daclatasvir is that it is very active against multiple Genotypes while Ledipasvir is primarily active only against Genotype 1. This is important as the most prominent form of Hepatitis C is Genotype 3.
